Experience
During my three years as a proud Catamount, I have been blessed with countless opportunities to learn, grow, and lead. I've been able to rep our beautiful purple and gold colors at a state level in the Association of Student Governments, a national level at the Walt Disney World Resorts within the Disney College Program, and an international level in Germany during the Catamount Gap Abroad program.

Below I have provided specific experiences I believe would prove beneficial if elected Student Body President.
Association of Student Governments
The UNC Association of Student Governments is the student organization designated to represent the interests of students in the deliberations of the UNC Board of Governors.
Our purpose is to advocate for the collective best interests of students in serving as a liaison between students and the Governor of North Carolina, the North Carolina General Assembly, and the Office of the President of the University of North Carolina; and collaboratively increase awareness of issues affecting students and the University.

2018 - 2019: WCU delegate and Secretary of the Internal Operations
2020 - 2021: Associate Vice President of Internal Operations and now Chief of Staff

Legislation I have contributed to or written:
Social Justice and Accessibility Department Act
Student Government Association
I joined SGA as an incoming freshman. I have had so many opportunities through this organization, and I love working with upper administration to advocate for the students.

2018: Senator
2019: Chief of Staff
2019: Student Union Task Force Coordinator
2020 - 2021: Director of Operations

Legislation:
Amend Director of Internal Operations’ Title
Support Residential Living LGBTQ+ Projects
Require Executive Branch to give an Enumerated report of Expenditures from the Previous Fiscal Year

Programs:
2020 - 2021 Town Halls
2020 - 2021 Food Giveaways
2020 Census Campaign
2020 Elections Campaign
2019 Student Appreciation Week - SGA Taco Bar
WCU Committees
2020 - 2021: Advisory Board for Academic Community Engagement (ACE)
This committee supports the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning in enhancing and promoting service learning at Western Carolina University. Specifically, the Board reviews service-learning initiatives, recommends pertinent policies and procedures, and promotes reciprocal relationships among campus and community stakeholders.

2018 & 2020: Tuition and Fees Committee
This committee is empowered to act under UNC-GA policy 1000.1.1 and the recommendations of the 2010-11 UNC Task Force on Tuition and Fees. Its purpose is to review tuition and fee increase proposals, actively solicit student input on these proposals, make recommendations to the Chancellor, and certify student involvement in the process.
Intercultural Affairs Council
Intercultural Affairs is by far my favorite departments on campus. They provide a safe space for all students and (pre-COVID) some great food.

I've been able to assist with Tunnel of Oppression and now serve as a council member. As part of the council, I assist with ICA events. We've been able to host successful and safe hybrid and in-person events that are both educational and social. This year, Lyndan and I created the ICA podcast to highlight upcoming events and a relevant topic each week. Click here to hear our latest episode.
